Evanescence frontlady, Amy Lee, is chuffed. Really, really chuffed

A edição desta semana da revista britânica Kerrang! Magazine trou uma entrevista com Amy Lee, a qual aborda a segunda turnê que o Evanescence realizará no Reino Unido em novembro, experiências com a atual turnê e processo criativo para o futuro álbum. Curiosamente, Amy revela que a banda planeja fazer algum cover do cantor Michael Jackson, em algum momento da turnê.

A líder do Evanescence, Amy Lee, está encantada. Realmente, realmente encantada. E ela tem todo o direito de estar, uma vez que neste novembro, sua banda finalmente colocará o desapontamento com cancelamento do festival Sonisphere de lado e trará algo muito especial!

"Minha primeira reação [quando ouvi que o Sonisphere UK tinha sido cancelado] foi: 'Ok, como podemos reservar outro show?'", Amy diz à revista Kerrang!. Gostaríamos de ter reservado algum show em clube para os fãs, mas acabou por ser impossível - então, agora, voltaremos e fazeremos as pazes com vocês corretamente"

Eles estão prontos para fazer isso em grande estilo, também, Evanescence anuncia quatro de suas maiores shows no Reino Unido. A banda no Nottingham Arena em 5 de novembro, Arena Manchester (6) e NIA Birmingham (8), antes de um show clímax na Wembley Arena, em Londres no dia 9 de novembro. E se isso não bastasse, Amy também diz que trará The Used e LostAlone como suportes da turnê!

"Estamos tocando o melhor que o Evanescence já tocou", Amy declara: "Esta é a formação mais forte que já tivemos, e eu estou com os meus melhores desempenhos. Shows em festival são ótimos. Mas não me leve a mal, não há nada melhor que tocar para os seus próprios fãs. Faremos ser realmente especial para vocês, eu prometo!"

Amy diz que os shows tomam um longo período da intensa turnê e, com isso, conseguiram colocar alguns novos selos nos passaportes da banda e mais do que isso, testaram as suas capacidades de recuperação. "Fomos a lugares que não sabíamos o que esperar e isso é um pouco assustador. Mas quando chegamos lá, o retorno foi incrível. E os fãs nos deram muitos presentes legais. A minha mala está muito pesada - está difícil manter-se com tudo isso! É uma verdadeira injeção de inspiração!".

Com tal agitação na agenda, Amy diz que a banda não teve um segundo para começar a elaborar idéias para o sucessor terceiro álbum auto-intitulado do ano passado, classificado com 5 K [estrelas]. "No momento, eu preciso reunir criatividade. É muito difícil se concentrar quando você está em "modo de turnê", diz Amy. "Você começa em um ciclo, e não é como ter um piano em seu camarim, ou algo mais. Eu acho que funciono melhor quando não há pressão! Quando eu posso simplesmente sentar e ficar olhando pela janela por um tempo. Terei que escrever novamente em breve, tenho certeza disso. Mas eu não sei quando".

Os shows de novembro podem não trazer músicas novas, porém, Amy diz que a banda tem algo a mais na manga. "Eu não quero que nada escape", sussurra, "mas estamos tendo a idéia de fazer um cover de alguma canção do Michael Jackson, pois sou uma grande fã. Precisamos fazer isso em algum momento, mas não há nada certo ainda..."

Qualquer coisa menos Earth Song, ok, Amy? Amy?...

Kerrang: Evanescence plot their epic UK return!

Evanescence frontlady, Amy Lee, is chuffed. Really, really chuffed. And she's every right to be, as this November her band will finally put the disappointment at their cancelled Sonisphere festival slot behind them with something very special indeed!

"My first reaction [to hearing Sonisphere UK had been cancelled] was 'Ok, how do we book another show?'", Amy tells Kerrang!. We'd have liked to have booked a club show for the fans, but it turned out to be impossible - so, now  we're going to come back and make it up to you guys properly."

They're set to do so quite some style, too, with Evanescence announcing four of their biggest ever UK shows. The band will call at Nottingham Arena on November 5, Manchester Arena (6) and Birmingham NIA (8) before a climactic show at London's Wembley Arena on November 9. And if that wasn't enough, Amy says they'll be bringing The Used and LostAlone along for the ride as supports, too!

"We're playing the best that Evanescence  has ever played", Amy states, "This is the strongest line-up we've ever had, and I'm a better performer. Festival shows are great, don't get me wrong, but nothing beats being able to play to your own fans. We're going to make it really special for you, I promise!"

Amy says that the shows will crown an intensive touring period  that's put a fair few new stamps in the band's passports and more than tested their jetlag recovery skills. "We've been to places we've never know what to expect, and that's kind od scary. But  when we've made it there, the payoff has been incredible. And fans have given us so many amazing gifts. My suitcase is so heavy - it's hard to keep up with everything! That's a real injection of inspiration."

Such is the band's hectic schedule, Amy says the band haven't had a second to begin penning ideas for the follow-up to last year's  5 K-rated, self-titled third album, "I'm feeling rally creative at the moment, but it's pretty difficult to focus when you're in 'tour mode'", Amy says. "You get into a cycle, and it's not like I have a piano in my dressing room or anything! Plus, I think I work best when the pressure is off; when I can just sit and stare out of the window for a while. I'll have that writing spark again soon, I'm sure, I don't know when."

The November shows might  not bring any news songs, then, but Amy says the band have a little something extra up their sleeves. "I don't want to give anything too much away", she whispers, "but we've been tossing the idea around of covering a Michael Jackson song, because I'm such a huge fan. We need to make that happen at some point, but nothing's certain as yet..."
