Eu tenho que admitir que estava mais curioso do que um grande fã do Evanescence antes do show na noite passada no Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Não tinha certeza de como eles estariam vivendo depois das mudanças na formação, mas tem havido alguns comentários interessantes sobre essas mudanças de formação.

Eu tenho que dizer que foram tratados com um show sólido de uma banda que ainda é amplamente subestimada, embora você não perceba isso pelo tamanho da multidão.

Seguro em dizer que Amy Lee teria amado o enxame de 'Evanesfans' quando as luzes se acenderam após a abertura com "What You Want" e "Going Under".

Sydney colocou uma multidão dura de matar, cuja paixão pela banda estava na exibição vocal de uma hora apertada. Amy Lee estava em grande forma vocal e soberba, voz incrível e mantida através de uma ópera, durante 60 minutos.

O novo baterista Will Hunt era um demônio na bateria... energia assassina e batidas muito divertidas de se assistir, enquanto ele continuava a bater o Entertainment Centre. Alguém mais viu suas baquetas caírem "Going Under"? Ele as recuperou... rápido!

Impressionante também foram as cordas, Tim, Troy e Terry que, em particular, dão ao palco uma sensação assustadora quando as luzes se ofuscam...

Eles cobriram os hits, tocaram o novo [álbum], mas as maiores reações foram salvas para "Going Under" e "My Immortal".

Foi um show de 80 minutos apertado, incluindo o bis. Dinheiro bem merecido por uma banda que está trabalhando duro para provar que pode balançar e ainda possui uma base fanática de fãs para manter o respeito vivo.

REVIEW, PHOTOS: Evanescence Amazing Show At The Sydney Entertainment Centre

I have to admit I was more curious than massive fan of Evanescencebefore last night's show at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Not sure of what they would be like live after the lineup changes, but there has been some interesting reviews from shows overseas during those lineup changes.

I have to say we were treated to a solid show from a band who are still wildly underrated though you would not of picked it from the size of the crowd.

Safe to say Amy Lee would of loved the swarm of 'Evanesfans' when the lights went up after opening with "What You Want" and "Going Under".

Sydney put on a die hard crowd whose passion for the band was on vocal display for a tight hour. Amy Lee was in superb vocal form, incredible voice and maintained superbly through a vocal opera for 60 minutes.

New drummer Will Hunt was a demon on the drums… killer energy and beats and highly entertaining to watch as he kept the Entertainment Centre thumping. Did anyone else see him drop his sticks during "Going Under"? He recovered… swift!

Impressive also were the strings, Tim, Troy and Terry who in particular gives the stage a haunting feel when the lights go dim… the dreadlocked ambler guitarist.

They covered the hits, they played the new, but the biggest reaction was saved and showed for "Going Under" and "My Immortal".

It was a tight 80-minute show including the encore. Money well earned by a band who are working hard to prove they can rock and still have a rabid fan base to keep the respect alive.
